The newly appointed Head Coach of Ambrose University Women’s Soccer Team In Calgary brings with him both international coaching and playing experience. After a short stint as Futsal Canada’s Men’s National Head Coach (Indoor Soccer), the former National Team player for Guyana, returned to South America and the Caribbean to guide National and Professional teams.
Bolton has designed, managed, and facilitated extensive development programs, from coaching guides, professional seminars and clinics, planning an international presentation on behalf of FIFA & CONCACAF, coaching in both male and female World Championship Qualifiers, to historically qualifying for the final round of CONCACAF 2016 Women’s Olympic Qualification tournament. This was followed by guiding an IWL team in India to the Final round of the Women’s National Championships.
In North America, Bolton was the first Regional Head Coach for the Vancouver Whitecaps Island Academy and a Player Development Coach in the Regional Development School of the New York Red Bulls – both of Major League Soccer (MLS). About Me
I was raised in Cochrane and played soccer here from the ages of 6-13. Played in Calgary Tier 1 and Team AB until I graduated from Edge School in 2019, where I also received the Presidents Award for Excellence in Leadership. Throughout my time in highschool I was invited to many schools in the US and Canada. I choose to stay in Canada and go out east to St. FX. I love coaching and have a passion for teaching and learning. I also really enjoy philosophy, drawing and chocolate!

About me: Coming to Canada at an early age from Scotland my life has been dominated by sports of various kinds and being an identical twin I always had a willing partner! From soccer, having played at an elite level, to hockey, squash, tennis, fishing and backpacking I love the outdoors. This has fuelled my further educational adventures in Sport and Performance Psychology where I am currently in my internship having an amazing mentor in Kansas City, Missouri. The most impactful message I ever got in my sporting life was from my U13 soccer coach who told us, “We have an excellent team and will do well, however first and foremost I care about who will become as human beings”. Look forward to the work ahead!
